If someone insists it's your display then simply ask them to produce RGB balance results before and after their white point adjustment with those settings. Anytime you roll the dice on high level settings changes (CMS/2 PT/20 PT) found here you risk running into strange problems. If you really want "Absolute Accuracy" with any kind of confidence your display is going to work correctly my best suggestion is to consider employing a reputable professional calibrator. When it comes to these kinds of adjustments without a full proper calibration less is more here. This can be corrected with a 2 PT calibration (restoring balance) which should accompany any CMS change involving RGB adjustments but when that isn't being done you may experience discoloration or incorrect luminance responses while viewing content.

When excessive RGB separation occurs at difference luminance levels certain primary colors boost causing discoloration and in more extreme cases luminance levels will be inconsistent. Making changes in CMS to the primaries (RGB) affects the overall RGB balance and alignment of this display. Tech with KG did the same thing, but set his CE to HIGH.Ĭlick to expand.I'm going to raise this concern again even though it may not be the case here (haven't tested the content) but it is something I encountered during my work on this display. I will use any and every feature I can to get my TV back to the way it was before the update, and I was sharing my experience with what I had to do. Saying “CE is not accurate” without any flexibility really is going to limit you to a super sad looking TV in my case. I am trying to get it back to the way it was y’all. Avoid CE if I want accuracy? It kinda seems like you haven’t been noticing what is going on lately with the S95B lately lol? Or noticed my comment on how I got around problems that CE created? A super dark screen is not accurate either, with the new update. Either way, it doesn’t matter to me, because I don’t have a reference monitor, so my reference is my iPhone, which I stare at all dang day, so matching it just makes sense, and I have been very pleased with my picture by doing so.ĥ. I don’t have any experience with plagues of colors being pushed as you mention, other than green, but I KNOW it is too green, and I take that into account. I’m not a Vincent worshipper like a lot of weirdos out there, but he did do a very on these iPhones being decently accurate.

I wouldn’t know anything you are talking about. View attachment 3302712 View attachment 3302713Ĭlick to expand.2. Perhaps it’s just the specific lighting in those scenes but it felt unnatural. Or between 39:45-55 Hughie’s face is very yellow. Primarily the scenes in the house, take 50-52 mins for an example. Especially as I’m still on 1211 - it’s tough to make quick comparisons!Īlso, some scenes in The Boys s03e06 Amazon Prime, looked to have quite yellow skin tones. I just wanted to watch the episode at this point so didn’t change all the settings to try 1.2b or 1.1 AA unfortunately. There’s also a slight unnatural red tinge to Monica’s cheek around 28:35-50, using 1.2a. I didn’t see it when watching it on my iPhone or my Alienware/Dell QD-OLED (AW3423DW) monitor. I didn’t try the Amazon Prime TV app as my TV is offline.

This happened with both the Shield and the Apple TV. I’ve attached a couple pictures which show the issue. Didn’t expect to see it with this TV in FMM.

I used to notice extreme pink tinges like this with my old LG B6 when it was on dynamic/vivid mode. I checked with 1.2a and even absolute accuracy 1.1 and it remains. In The Expanse Season 5 Episode 7 on Amazon Prime, I noticed distracting little flickers of red/pink in Naomi’s face, on her cheek in the close up shots, around 17mins with 1.2b.ġ7mins 22-26 seconds specifically, there’s a flash of pink in her cheek, surrounded by some unnatural green towards the ear just after she says “nothing without you”, which stays for a second or two then abruptly disappears. I’ve been testing out your settings, you requested some feedback…
